Not only are catappa leaves a delicious treat for your betta fish, but they are also highly nutritious and beneficial for your aquatic pets. Also called Indian Almond leaves, catappa leaves provide protein, complex essential minerals. The leaf encourages multiplication and interaction in a thriving underwater. The catappa leaves release properties into your aquarium water which lower the pH value to a proper level. A slight yellowish-brown color is expected to be emitted from the leaves.
How to Use the Catappa Leaf Holders
- Prepare the catappa leaves by boiling them or allowing them to soak for a few hours. This will soften the leaves so that they can be rolled. The same process can be used for dried seaweed sheets.
- Insert the leaf or other edible treat into the 1″ (2.5cm) plastic circle holder.
- Press the suction cup against the wall of your aquarium so the treat stays in place.

The suction is great, hasn’t fallen off for over a month now even with algae on the glass. (the algae is good for baby shrimp to eat)
