About this item

  • Securely Holds Catappa Leaves — Betta fish absolutely love catappa leaves as they are both delicious and nourishing. Simply tossing the leaves into the tank means later you will need to scoop out the debris from the bottom. Placing the Indian Almond leaves into the SunGrow Betta Treat Holder saves you time by making it so easy to replace any leftover leaves.
  • Keeps Betta Fish Happy — Playful and energetic, betta fish crave entertainment in addition to the basic needs of food and water. Adding treats in between to your fish tank helps in keeping your pet full and also gives them something fun to do. In addition to Indian Almond leaves, the clear aquarium vessel holds dried vegetable pieces and other edible items while your fish grazes.
  • Clear, Reliable Materials — To hold the catappa leaves for your betta fish, the SunGrow Leaf Holder is made with durable plastic suitable for both freshwater and saltwater habitats. Attached to the plastic loop is a heavy-duty clear suction cup to securely adhere to the wall of your fish tank. The transparency of the materials ensures that there is no visual distraction for your beautiful underwater.
  • Easy To Use, Move, and Reuse — The set of 2 SunGrow Catappa Leaf Holders for Betta Fish are already assembled when they arrive and installed in seconds. Roll the catappa leaf into the plastic loop and stick the cups to the smooth wall of your fish tank. When it’s time to refill or rearrange, give the leaf holder a tug and it will pop off the wall. The suction cups can be used over and over again. So feel free to move it around as often as you prefer.
  • Organize Airline Tubing, and Water Lines — Along with holding treats for your fish, the Aquarium Suction Cups from SunGrow are useful for a range of purposes in the tank. The perfect air pump accessory, the suction cup rings organize your loose airline tubing and pipes for a clearer look. They also help manage water lines for fish tank heaters, elaborate decorations and CO2 setups.

Benefits of Adding Catappa Leaves

Not only are catappa leaves a delicious treat for your betta fish, but they are also highly nutritious and beneficial for your aquatic pets. Also called Indian Almond leaves, catappa leaves provide protein, complex essential minerals. The leaf encourages multiplication and interaction in a thriving underwater. The catappa leaves release properties into your aquarium water which lower the pH value to a proper level. A slight yellowish-brown color is expected to be emitted from the leaves.

How to Use the Catappa Leaf Holders

  1. Prepare the catappa leaves by boiling them or allowing them to soak for a few hours. This will soften the leaves so that they can be rolled. The same process can be used for dried seaweed sheets.
  2. Insert the leaf or other edible treat into the 1″ (2.5cm) plastic circle holder.
  3. Press the suction cup against the wall of your aquarium so the treat stays in place.
  4. After the catappa leaf has been eaten, tug on the plastic loop to release the suction cup.
  5. To keep your betta fish amused, move the catappa leaf holder around the tank every few weeks.

Many Practical Uses Outside of the Tank

Even if you don’t have an aquarium, there are so many practical uses for the pair of SunGrow Suction Cup Holders.

When you are in your hotel room, stick the holders to the bathroom mirror where you can set your toothbrush or makeup brushes to keep them sanitary.

They can be stuck to TVs and electronics for temporary cable placement and to keep charging wires out of the way

In the kitchen, the suction cup holders can be used to prop utensils upright while cooking or hanging notes and artwork on a stainless-steel fridge.

The suction is great, hasn’t fallen off for over a month now even with algae on the glass. (the algae is good for baby shrimp to eat)
