This aquarium kit can be a great decoration for your home or office.
You can put 1 to 5 small fish that is long than 2 inch or a small turtle or you can just keep one betta in this tank.
Hygger 8 gallon curved glass fish tank kit is perfect for aquarium starters, hobbyist. Suitable for fresh water or salt water aquarium.
The aquarium kit includes the basic needs for aquarium starters: one 8 gal glass tank with 3D background decor, one power filter pump, one strip aquarium led light.
Easy to set up and maintain, this glass fish tank is no need special stand, there is a cushion pad stick on the bottom to prevent slide. Just place the tank on a flat table.
Please NOTE: we don’t suggest to keep too small fish in the tank if you want to run the power filter, the filter may be too strong for too small fish, they may get sucked in the filter. Fish long than 2 inch would be ok in the tank.

-The LED bar is cool and quite adjustable, The LED’s are red, blue, and white. The night mode is blue and red LEDs as opposed to purple LED’s, normally you wouldn’t notice but the water and tank reflect so you can clearly see red and blue lights, depends on personal preference.
– the rock feature seems to be styrofoam or a styrofoam-like material
– This tank is best for small animals.
-The curved front face traps many tiny air bubbles, which does not provide the best optical clarity but I personally like it.
– The pump is well designed, has very good flow capabilities and is positioned to push water down after it hits the curved face. nice touch. Also has adjustable length attachments.
Not a bad tank, certainly looks very cool, I haven’t even added any fish to it, I keep some in my other tank. This one just looks nice on my shelf lol
The only damage to the aquarium was the same damage as another customer’s review said, as if I received that damaged returned product! This aquarium is not worth the $119 I paid for it due to the damage. There’s a crack in the bottom, and chipped at the top.
The side of the tank has black tape on it. The back is completely blacked out so you can not get a light installed down there outside of the tank like modern aquarium lighting.
But the mountainous upper background really attracted me to purchase this highly recommended brand (Hygger) aquarium. The top light made the aquarium seem like I was watching the tankmates in HD!
The beveled glass in front was a really nice touch. The glass is fairly thick for a nano tank (see pictures).
The filtration system is just as advertised, and easy to put together. But the filtration system is difficult to take apart without breaking the tiny piece of the box trap (the latch which keeps the door closed) to change the carbon. It already had carbon in it, I just wanted to get a feel of what was in store when it’s time to change the carbon. It already had a black sponge filter in it as well. The pipes where the water comes out of the filter giving the waterfall effect, was not easy to adjust or twist into the desired direction. So turn it the way you want it to stay! The pipe also easily clogged.
There’s no lid on the aquarium. So, I had to make one so my frogs wouldn’t keep getting out.
The tank did not come with a air pump, thermostat, gravel, heater, or plants.
The light was so awesome I just had to write a review. The lightbpad is easy to use, there’s a timer, click one time for each of the 3 modes and click a 4th time to exit clock options. The day and night modes have 3 different levels of intensity. The lowest level of the night light option is soft enough for your mate to sleep while you enjoy the view. I would highly recommend you purchase the light even if you don’t get the aquarium.
I’m very sorry that the integrity of the brand is soured by the damages of this nano tank.
If I could suggest a few changes, I would have the package delivered with privacy wrapping, check for cracks and chips, remove the blackout tape so the aquarium can get more light like the last picture of a different tank (more ambiance) with modern lights, make the holes a little bigger on the filtration system pipes for a unrestricted water flow as a waterfall, give directions as to how to open the carbon drawer on the filtration system (there was no directions), make the filtration system longer to reached the bottom of the aquarium for longer lasting clean (I had a second sponge on the airtube for more clear and clean water), and put the light 1″ to 2″ higher so the residue from the bubbles can not dirty the light.
This nano tank could have easily been a 5 star review, if it was not damaged. There’s a black thin layer of styrofoam glued to the bottom, which was also a really nice touch.
I am interested in knowing what other aquariums they offer. I normally, for 20+ yrs., get my aquariums custom made for reliability purposes. I love aquariums but hate leaks! I regret that I could not depend on the workmanship of this aquarium.
During Covid19 there’s no one available with Amazon to report these things to. So if you want this item, you’ll need aquarium seal, and you’ll have to do some work to the glass make it work for you. You can still make this into a planted tank despite the blackout tape.
I would recommend this to an advanced hobbyist who will not mind working hard to deal the aquarium properly.
This may not be ideal for immediate use.
