5x 5-6″ Pieces of Cholla Wood Cholla. Cholla wood will float until saturated, which usually takes 24-48 hours, then it will sink to the bottom. Great for shrimp and fry tank. May also use for terrarium, reptiles, birds, chinchillas, parrots, crabs, rabbits, hamsters to chew on or any other little animals.

I boiled these in some water for around an hour to get them to sink faster and to clean them and to my surprise they really weren’t very dirty at all and they look great!

Looks great and my daughters shrimp love it. Boiled for about 20min and had no problems with them floating.

Seen these at my local fish store, but they were overpriced and much shorter. Came across these in my Amazon search and was happy to find a 3 pack at a decent price. I placed them underwater for 24 hours, and had one sink to the bottom and the other two slightly still floating. I drilled out a bigger middle hole and that helped it sink. Placed a plant in it, and it looks great. My shrimp have a new hangout spot.

About 4 of my pieces of cholla wood were rather small girth wise the others were perfect but sadly I ordered 20 and really only got 19 and the sad remains of the 20th which was shattered.

They arrived quickly but only had 4 in the package, advertised to have 5.

This is after 20 minutes of it soaking in water that isn’t even boiling yet! I’m scared to try it out in the tank so I’ll update you guys. I’m gonna give it a test run in water for a week before putting it into my tank. I will test the parameters of the water after a week.
