How to euthanize without clove oil date of adopt vs today

Oh my. I’m very sorry about your little guy. To my knowledge there’s really no completely painless methods. You could do the crushing method. Technically painless if you do it hard and fast enough. I’d say use a knife and stab the brain, which is how chefs humanly kill a live fish. It causes immediate brain death. however bettas are pretty tiny so it might be hard to be accurate enough to be painless.
6 gallon tank, UV light, 79dF. betta bites food, no other tank mates, approximately 1.5 years old.
