Has anyone here used Mardel Maracyn and if so did it affect your beneficial bacteria?

Yes. Maracyn fine when used according to instructions.

Maracyn 2 will kill it though.

It says to not have carbon in the aquarium, and one of my filters is a carbon filter. Do you happen to know if I am supposed to just not have that filter in when using the Maracyn? Or should I take it out a few days in advance or something?
