is it harmful to leave aquarium lights on 24/7?
I have 3 little platys in my 10 gal tank, had these little guys for months. I usually don’t mess with the light settings. Would they benefit if I changed the lights every once in a while? Thanks

Some fish are diurnal they need a day/night cycle to rest properly not to mention keeping lights on constantly really encourages algae growth

Yes, it’s essential that the lights are not left on 24/7. It’s stressful for the fish and your tank will be overrun with algae very quickly.
